Haggard Weekend

Busy weekend, but it was fun.
Friday night, Jasmine and I went to Crowbar. The place is huge, one area looks like your typical bar, chair, couches, and a small area for people to dance while the other one looks like a warehouse with a huge dance floor. The latter plays club/techno music while the first one plays R&B/Hip Hop music. Drinks were expensive, $11 for vodka with cranberry juice! It was a mix crowd, they have Chelsea Boys, New Yorkers, tourists, most of which are from the affluent part of Asia, i.e. Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore, yuppies, and students. The night started slow, Jasmine and I didn’t like the music, so we spent much of our first hour drinking and wandering around the place people watching. Soon enough we were dancing, on the floor, on the couch, going from the R&B area to the other. A guy offered me a drink, I politely refused. A Chinese guy kept saying hi to me and I ignored him, this time I think I was a bit rude. I think I need serious medical attention. We got home sometime after 3 in the morning.
Saturday, the plan was we’ll go to the gym first and we never did, it was an exercise in futility. Feeling guilty, we went to
SOHO
to go shopping and do our cardio at the same time. We must have walked at least 2 miles! I successfully influenced my friend to buy a beautiful black leather designer bag. We had brunch at Dos Caminos, according to them their famous; yes I know I’m cynical, especially for their guacamole. I had their breakfast quesadilla and a glass of red sangria. For myself, I bought on sale a silver edition shoes (in blue) from Kenneth Cole and a sweater from Mexx.
Sunday, again, part of the plan was we’ll go to the gym and wanting to be consistent on our behavior, we didn’t act on it. It remained a plan. We went to mass near the office,
World
Financial
Center
, and went straight to DSW to buy shoes. I bought a nice pair of BCBG sandals for my sister for only $30! It’s to die for, it’s really beautiful, and Jasmine bought one for herself. I also bought sneakers for my mom. After shopping we went back to the apartment to deposit our booty for the day and went straight to the movie house, the one near Embassy Suites. I wasted $10.75 on Elizabeth Town. The movie was no good. It was dragging, boring, and what an awful story. What’s worse is that there’s no cute in the movie! No redeeming quality whatsoever. I stayed late Sunday night watching Pretty Woman
